The Minoan and Helladic periods have been established following pottery phases [for a detailed description of these phases see, for example, PETER WARREN, The Aegean Civilizations (Phaidon-Oxford, 1989), or JOHN GRIFFITHS PEDLEY, Greek Art and Archaeology (Prentice Hall 1993), for both the first phases and the following periods].
